Balzan FC Striker Godwin Mensha Chasing 18 Goals This Season
Published: August 25, 2015
New Balzan FC striker Godwin Mensha has set himself a target of at least 18 goals this season despite failing to score on his league debut last weekend against Hibernians.
Before his move to the Island Nation, the 25 - year - old had spells with Spanish lower division clubs Compostela, Talavera CF and Socuéllamos.
“I don’t know how the Maltese League is but I hope to score 18 - 22 goals, ” said Godwin Mensha to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Balzan gave me a good option and that is the reason I left Spain for Malta. I have signed a one - year deal.
“Our aim again this season is to qualify for the Europa League, that’s what we are looking for. ”
Godwin Mensha could not represent Balzan in the Europa League because his International Transfer Certificate was not sent to Malta before they faced Željeznia (Bosnia and Herzegovina), according to the striker.
