Fit - Again Joel Obi Pulls Out Of Nigeria Squad

Torino’s Joel Obi has ruled himself out of Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Tanzania this weekend despite resuming full training with his Italian club on Wednesday.
The attacking midfielder sat out Torino’s first two fixtures in the Serie A due to a muscle complaint but is all but set to make his first appearance for The Maroons after the international break if he doesn’t suffer a relapse.
Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh was aware that Obi might not make the trip to Nigeria as he is lacking match fitness and included an extra home based player in the squad list .
The ex Inter Milan youngster has not played for the 2013 African champions since the pre - World Cup friendly against Scotland 15 months ago.
