UEFA Youth League : Eight Nigerian Young Stars In Action In Opening Round

Eight Nigerian young stars were in action in the opening round of the UEFA Youth League.
Temitayo Aina and Fikayo Tomori went the distance as defending champions Chelsea defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 3 - 0 at Cobham Training Centre.
Roma were held to a goalless draw by Barcelona. Fullback Nura Abdullahi started and completed the game while Sadiq Umar was subbed off in the 78th minute.
Arsenal Under 19s won their opening match of Group F against Dinamo Zagreb. Alex Iwobi was impressive for the Gunners and would have scored from close range in the second half but was denied by goalkeeper Semper.
Aaron Eyoma joined the fray four minutes from time while Tolaji Bola did not make the squad.
On Tuesday, Tosin Adarabioyo worked 90 minutes in defense as Manchester City thrashed Juventus 4 - 1. Juventus number 7 Akpan Udoh came off the bench 16 minutes from time.
