Elderson Echiejile Admits Monaco Left It Late In Europa League Opener Against Anderlecht
Published: September 18, 2015Monaco fullback Elderson Echiejile was delighted to secure a point away from home in the Principality side’s Europa League opener against Anderlecht at the Stade Constant Vanden Stock.
Monaco trailed their opponents for most part of the game, with Guillaume Gillet netting in the 11th minute for the Belgians and the scoreline remained the same until five minutes from time when substitute Lacina Traoré popped up with the equalizer.

In his 12th appearance in the Europa League, Elderson Echiejile made way for El Shaarawy around the hour mark after picking up a booking in the 45th minute.
The Nigeria international has scored twice in this competition; both goals coming against Maribor in 2011 during the group stage.
