Vincent Enyeama Red Carded For The First Time Since 2009
In a contentious decision by referee Stephane Jochem in a Ligue 1 tie between Rennes and Lille on Friday night, Nigeria skipper Vincent Enyeama was dismissed in the 70th minute for apparently fouling an opponent.<br /><br />The Super Eagles glovesman was not tested much until twenty minutes from time when Ivory Coast international Giovanni Sio found himself in the penalty area, dribbled past Enyeama but lost his balance and fell.<br /><br />And despite two minutes of protests by Lille players, the referee’s decision to award a penalty and send off Vincent Enyeama stood.<br /><br />Substitute goalkeeper <span style="" class="notranslate">Mike Maignan in his first action saved the spot kick by </span><span style="" class="notranslate">Paul George Ntep </span><br /><br />Enyeama was last red - carded in a league game six years ago in Hapoel Tel Aviv’s 1 - 1 draw with Maccabi Petah Tikva.<br /><br />Photo Credit : Instagram.com<br />
