Manchester City Striker Kelechi Iheanacho To Spend Minimum Of 10 Days On The Sidelines

The attacker was poised to make his first start for The Citizens on Tuesday in the Capital One Cup but could not feature against Sunderland after picking up a minor injury in training ahead of the tie at the Stadium of Light.
“Kelechi Iheanacho was due to start against Sunderland but he had to be replaced in the starting line - up, ” a source close to the 18 - year - old told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He had a knock in training and he will be out of action for a minimum of 10 days.”
And based on prognosis by club medics, it means the Nigeria youth international might be unavailable for the Premier League game against Newcastle United on October 3.
Since the season started, Kelechi Iheanacho has made Manuel Pellegrini’s 18 - man squad for each of the 6 games City have contested in the top flight.
