Falconets Well Placed To Qualify For Third Round Of CAF Qualifiers, Beat Democratic Republic of Congo

The Falconets are well placed to qualify for the third round of the 2015 CAF U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament on the heels of their 2 - 1 away win over Democratic Republic of Congo in the first leg, second qualifying round.
The Fifa Under 20 World Cup vice - champions took a deserved lead in the sixth minute through Chinaza Uchendu and Nigeria went two goals up six minutes later after Chinwendu Ihezuo converted her chance.
The hosts pulled a goal back in the second half but were unable to conjure up an equalizer before the end of proceedings in Kinshasa.
The return leg comes up at the National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, October 10, with the winner over both legs facing either South Africa or Zambia for a spot in the tournament in Papua New Guinea.
Nigeria has qualified for the semi - final of the Fifa Under 20s in each of the last three editions and won silver on two occasions.
