Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that the defending world champions at Under 17 level, the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, are set to depart the shores of the country on Tuesday, September 29, for Argentina, where they will hold a training camp.
The Nigeria Under 17 national team and coaching staff led by Emmanuel Amuneke had been scheduled to leave for the South American country last Tuesday but could not do so as they were not issued visas as at that date.
To get these youngsters used to the rigours of playing at high altitude, the Nigeria Football Federation in their wisdom picked Argentina, which has the same climatic conditions as Chile.
Away from visa issues, all has not been well with the Golden Eaglets, with a couple of players coach Emmanuel Amuneke built the team around failing the mandatory MRI tests.
The Golden Eaglets have been drawn in Group A of the tournament alongside Chile, Croatia and United States.
