Dele Alli Earns Maiden England Senior Call - Up
Published: October 01, 2015Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has been named in England’s 24 - man squad for their remaining European Championship qualifiers in October.
Everton’s Ross Barkley is set to add to his 15 international caps after coach Roy Hodgson named him among the 8 midfielders selected for the games against Estonia and Lithuania.
The Three Lions manager explained that he invited Dele Alli after the 19 - year - old was extensively scouted.
“We’ve been impressed with Dele Alli and this is a chance to get to know him. He’s a very exciting talent,” says Roy Hodgson.
Born in Milton Keynes, the Anglo - Nigerian has represented the youth teams of England 17 times.
