Official : Alex Iwobi Signs New Arsenal Contract

Through a press release, Arsenal have announced that Super Eagles invitee Alex Iwobi has prolonged his stay at The Emirates after signing a new long - term deal.
The 19 - year - old’s former agreement with The Gunners would have expired at the end of this season, specifically June 30, 2016, if he had not extended his contract.
Alex Iwobi was offered fresh terms after impressing manager Arsene Wenger during Arsenal’s pre - season training in Singapore and went on to net his first senior goal for the club in the Emirates Cup against Lyon.
Though yet to make his official debut, the teenager has appeared in 2 matchday squads this season in games against Chelsea in the Community Shield and the Capital One cup tie with Spurs.
The Anglo - Nigerian striker has scored 2 goals in 5 appearances for Arsenal U21s in the U21 Premier League in the ongoing campaign.
