Godfrey Oboabona Reveals He Is Still Waiting For Feedback From Belgian Embassy
Published: October 06, 2015
Godfrey Oboabona looks all but certain to miss the Super Eagles friendly game against Democratic Republic of Congo on Thursday while he is doubtful to feature against Cameroon due to a visa hitch.
The central defender is still patiently waiting in Rize, Turkey to know the outcome of his visa application to the Belgian embassy in Turkey.
“I don’t know yet for now when I will be joining the team in Belgium, ” Godfrey Oboabona told allnigeriasoccer.com on Tuesday afternoon at 1434 hours.
“I am still expecting a call from the embassy.”
With the home - based players yet to be issued visas and Kenneth Omeruo pulling out of the squad last week, Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has only two center backs - Efe Ambrose and William Troost-Ekong - available for selection at this moment.
