Belgian Embassy Inform Godfrey Oboabona He Will Be Issued A Visa On Wednesday
Published: October 06, 2015
Godfrey Oboabona is optimistic that he will link up with his international teammates on Wednesday, ahead of Thursday’s friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo.
Few days after Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh included the Rizespor center - half in the roster for the two friendlies, he had applied for a Belgian visa but the traveling document has not yet been issued because the Turkish club did not send the required documents on time after they were contacted by the embassy.
“I submitted my passport to the Belgian embassy two weeks ago,” said Godfrey Oboabona to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I was told that the visa will be issued today but it’s not yet ready. They said again tomorrow it will be ready, hopefully tomorrow they will issue the visa.”
All the invited players have arrived in Belgium excluding Godfrey Oboabona and six home - based players, who also have problems securing visas to the European country.
