NFF Plays Down Rift Between Sunday Oliseh And Vincent Enyeama
Published: October 06, 2015
The Nigeria Football Federation has moved quickly to play down reports suggesting that there was a rift between coach Sunday Oliseh and Vincent Enyeama at the Super Eagles camp on Tuesday evening.
It is being claimed that the Lille numero uno was to have been booted out of the Hotel Verviers camp of the Super Eagles soon after his arrival but the Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick intervened.
Sunday Oliseh is believed to have declared Vincent Enyeama surplus to requirement following his late arrival in Belgium, even though the netminder only buried his late mother last weekend.
“It’s true that there was a little misunderstanding in the camp of @NGSuperEagles, but the matter has been resolved. Enyeama remains in camp, ” the Nigeria Football Federation said in a statement.
Vincent Enyeama, who is Nigeria’s most capped player, last featured for the national team in an Afcon qualifier against Chad in June 2015.
