A number of Anglo - Nigerian youngsters were in action for England’s youth teams on Wednesday in international warm - up games.
Chelsea defender Ola Aina went the distance at the Heidenheim Arena, Germany as England U20s began their campaign in the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup with a 3 - 1 win over England.
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Nathan Oduwa was involved as well, coming off the bench in the 73rd minute for Keith Downing’s side.
At St. George’s Park, the England Under 17 national team passed their test against African opposition with flying colours, thrashing Democratic Republic of Congo U17s 8 - 0, with Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo bagging a brace.
Fulham starlet Tayo Edun and Ugbo were introduced at the start of the second half.
