Dele Alli Revels In England Call - Up
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has expressed his happiness at the opportunity to train with England’s senior players, whom he adored while growing up. <br /><br />But the 19 - year - old is not a stranger to St. George’s Park, having previously represented England U17, 18, 19 and 21 teams prior to his call - up to the Three Lions squad for the Euro qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania. <br /><br />“It’s always an honour to be picked for any age group for your country, and for the first team it’s great for me and my family, ” says Dele Alli to TheFA.com.<br /><br />“I’ve been here quite a few times. It really helps when you see all the other England players around.”<br /><br />The Anglo - Nigerian continued : “Like the young boy Tom [Davies], from Everton, who trained with us on Wednesday, you can see that he was confident and wasn’t overwhelmed by the big players. <br /><br />“It really helps with the development of the players, when you see the seniors and they say hello and are all really nice.”<br /><br />If Alli is handed game time on Friday night against Estonia at Wembley, he will no longer be eligible to represent Nigeria since it is a competitive fixture.<br /><br />Photo Credit : tottenhamhotspur.com<br />
