Kelechi Iheanacho Reveals He Is Being Guided By Wilfried Bony
Published: October 23, 2015
Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed the mentoring he is receiving from Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony.
Ahead of Sunday’s derby against Manchester United, the Nigeria youth international believes he will live up to his billing as a wonderkid if he continues to work hard in training.
“Wilfried is a very good striker who is strong and intelligent and he talks to me all the time and advises me, ” Iheanacho told mcfc.co.uk.
“We sit together in the dressing room and he’s like a big brother to me.
“As for me and my own progress, I just have to keep working hard in training every day – with hard work I think I can go all the way so that’s what I’ll keep doing and hopefully I can do great things for City in the coming years.”
Iheanacho has not scored in the Premier League since his game - winner against Crystal Palace in September but had a goal disallowed last weekend in City’s 5 - 1 rout of AFC Bournemouth .
