Fanendo Adi Excited To Score Against Colorado Rapids
Published: October 26, 2015
Fanendo Adi ended the MLS regular season with 16 goals to his name after scoring the fourth goal in Portland Timbers’s 4 -1 rout of Colorado Rapids on Monday morning.
After scoring in the 88th minute, the Nigerian forward was excited and picked up the head coach, Caleb Porter .
“I get excited anytime I score. I was excited today because before the game he really talks to me, he really motivates me, so I needed to tell him ‘thank you’ for that,” said Fanendo Adi in his post match comments published by timbers.com.
“Scoring goals in the league is hard. This is a very tough league to score goals against brilliant defenders you have to work hard.
“That’s just what he tells me. I work hard and today it came out again.”
Alongside Didier Drogba (Montreal Impact) and Robbie Keane ( LA Galaxy), Adi tallied 4 goals in the month of October, the most goals scored by an MLS player during the month.
