Kelechi Iheanacho Sets His Sights On Wembley Appearance
Published: October 27, 2015
Manchester City talent Kelechi Iheanacho has set his sights on his first appearance at the hallowed Wembley turf and that could be possible in the near future if The Citizens qualify for the final of the Capital One Cup.
The Etihad Stadium outfit will be in action on Wednesday night against Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the competition, and the Dream Team VI invitee is hoping to feature against the Eagles.
“It won’t be easy because they are a quality side. They are very strong and have very good wingers so they will believe they can come here and win,” Iheanacho told mcfc.co.uk.
“We know that if we win, we’re only three games away from a final at Wembley, a place I’ve always wanted to play at so we’ll be going all out to beat them,” he said.
“As I said, it won’t be easy but we are at home and have been playing well lately.”
