Jos North LGA Wins Plateau State Governor Cup

Jos North Local Government Area have have been crowned Champions of the
Plateau State Governor’s Cup Football tournament after they beat their
counterparts from Barkin-Ladi 1-0 in a tense final.
The final which was scheduled originally for 2014 had to be delayed by one year by the organisers, the State’s Football Association following the unavailability of funds.
The Chairman, Plateau Football Association, PFA, Hon. Sunday Samson Longbap, told allnigeriasoccer.com that the final had to be rounded off in low key so as to pave way for the 2015 finals which may begin any moment.
Francis Izang got the only goal of the game from close range in the first half.
Earlier, Kanke Local Government Area had beaten Mangu LGA 4-3 on penalties after regulation time had ended 1-1 to win the third place playoffs.
