Giwa Strives For Maximum Points Against Heartland
Published: November 01, 2015
Second - placed Nigeria Professional Football League side, Giwa FC of Jos are bent on grabbing all three points at stake in their match-day 36 tie against hosts, Heartland FC of Owerri at the Dan Anyam Stadium in Owerri on Sunday.
Media Officer of the Club, David King, who spoke with allnigeriasoccer.com in Owerri said the management has motivated the boys and expect nothing short of the maximum points.
King added that the team is aware that the Imo State government has decided to open the gates free for the fans to come in their numbers to cheer Heartland to victory but said The Plateau Elephants are used to sustaining pressure and would soak all the pressure and perceived intimidation.
He also said the Club has set its sights on Continental football and the boys are aware of the dangers of profligacy at this point. Giwa FC came from behind twice to beat Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi 3-2 on Wednesday at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos in their last league game.
Sunday’s game at the Dan Anyam Stadium in Owerri against Heartland is slated for 4pm.
