Odion Ighalo Hails Watford Teamwork After Win Against West Ham
Published: November 01, 2015
According to the statistics, only Leicester City’s
Jamie Vardy is more clinical than Odion Ighalo in
the Premier League but the Nigeria international is not getting carried
away and has praised the team after the win against West Ham.
The attacker is convinced the Hornets are heading in the right direction if they continue playing as a team .
“We’ve been performing great this season, not just today, and we’ve been working hard together,” Ighalo told Watford Weekend Post-Match Review on Hornets PlayerHD.
“The team have been pushing, we run for each other, we fight for each other, and it’s been great.
“I’m happy for the spirit today, we won last week and that gave us a boost to push on.”
If Ighalo scores three more times in the EPL before the end of this season, he will follow in the footsteps of Peter Odemwingie, Obafemi Martins, Nwankwo Kanu and Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who all scored double digits in a single - season.
