Samson Siasia Appeals To Kidnappers To Release Septuagenarian Mom
Published: November 17, 2015
The Nigeria Football Federation has appealed to the kidnappers of the septuagenarian mother of Dream Team VI coach, Samson Siasia.
Unknown gunmen abducted Madam Ogere Siasia on Tuesday at Odoni community of Sagama Local Council Area of Bayelsa State.
When he learned about the incident, Samson Siasia, who is away with the Nigeria U23s in Gambia, appealed to the hoodlums to release his mom, adding that he wants to concentrate on qualifying the Dream Team for the 2016 Olympic Games.
“Right now I am confused, from the story I got, three men on motorbike stormed my parents house in my village Odoni in Bayelsa State, shot sporadically into the air before taking my old mother away on a bike,” Samson Siasia said in a statement.
“What do they expect from me? I don’t have money, I am right now on national duty, and need all the time to concentrate on this very important national task.
“So I beg them to please release my mother so that I can concentrate on this task of qualifying the U-23 National Team for the men’s football event of the Rio Olympics.”
The Bayelsa Police is investigating the incident, the former Nantes striker has confirmed.
