Oliseh Praises Swaziland For Putting Up A Fight
Published: November 17, 2015
Sunday Oliseh has heaped praise on the Swaziland national team for putting up a fight when they tackled the Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday evening.
Second - half goals from Moses Simon and Efe Ambrose knocked the Southern Africans, who are ranked 130th in the world, out of the qualifying series, having played out a goalless draw with the Super Eagles last Friday.
“For a fact, Swaziland’s FIFA ranking is unfair to them. They played with their hearts over the two legs and made things pretty difficult for us,” said Oliseh in his post - match comments.
In the group stage, Nigeria will face three other teams home and away, with only one country booking a ticket for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
There are 20 teams that will compete for the five slots allocated to Africa.
