18 - Year - Old Sadiq Umar Makes Serie A Debut For AS Roma

Sadiq Umar, 18, made his Serie A debut in Roma’s draw with Bologna on Saturday night at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
With the scoreboard reading 2 - 2, the attacker replaced Juan Iturbe in the 88th minute but could not score his first professional goal before the end of the contest.
Before today’s contest, the teenager had made the Giallorossi ’s 18 - man squad for Serie A matches seven times, bearing in mind that Italian clubs are allowed to have as many 12 players on the subs bench.
Umar has notched 13 goals in all competitions for the Primavera team of AS Roma, including three strikes in the UEFA Youth League.
The Football College Abuja product is on a season - long loan to Roma from Serie B side Spezia.
