Anthony Ujah Nets Fourth Goal In Five Games As Werder Bremen Lose To Hamburg
Published: November 28, 2015
Anthony Ujah was on target in the 103rd Nordderby at the Weserstadion but his goal did not prevent Werder Bremen from losing 3 - 1 to Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga.
The visitors were two goals up inside half an hour, courtesy of strikes from Ivo Ilievi and Michael Gregoritsch .
Ujah reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute when he smashed in after he was fed by Bargfrede but the River Islanders hopes of equalizing were diminished after Muller struck in the 68th minute.
The Super Eagles frontman has notched 4 goals in his last 5 games in the top flight, scoring a brace against his former team Mainz and the next fixture with Borussia Dortmund before increasing his goals haul on Saturday afternoon.
Werder Bremen sit in 15th place with 13 points from 14 games played. They are guests to Stuttgart next weekend.
