Published: December 01, 2015
Despite Argentina star Sergio Aguero rested after picking up a knock against Southampton, Manchester City manager Pellegrini has left out Kelechi Iheanacho from his starting line - up for Tuesday night’s League Cup quarter - final against Hull City.
But the Nigeria international is expected to feature for The Citizens at a point, having made the substitutes bench.
The three Anglo - Nigerian players in the Hull City ranks - Sone Aluko, Moses Odubajo and Chuba Akpom - will play from the very beginning at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Between them, the trio have featured 8 times in the League Cup this season, while Iheanacho’s only appearance in the competition was in the last round against Crystal Palace.
Manchester City have won the League Cup three times - 1970, 1976 and 2014 - whereas Hull City have never qualified for the finals.
