Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, December 7 over the alleged fraudulent transfer of Nigeria U20 international Chidiebere Nwakali to Manchester City back in 2014.
Monday Godwin, a co - defendant in the case and President of Emmanuel Amunike Soccer Academy, has argued that they have not received any court papers and will be absent tomorrow at the High Court in Ikoyi.
Allnigeriasoccer.com contacted Emmanuel Amunke on Sunday to ask him if he would appear in court and he became hostile after he was friendly initially.
Amuneke said : “If you don’t have anything to discuss don’t call my number, do you want me to drop the phone on you?”
Monday Godwin added : “I am not aware of any court case, I don’t know about it. Personally, I wasn’t served any notice.”
Former Enyimba FC of Aba player, Dominic Egbukwu and French- based agent Oliver Noah of Noga Sports Management dragged Emmanuel Amunike to court after the Nigeria U17s coach contacted Man City to call off negotiations with the two intermediaries despite their mandate yet to expire.
