The District Court in its ruling dismissed in its entirety the charges brought up against Dickson Etuhu and his friend, stating that he was not involved in any act of violence against the officials and was only being protective.
Etuhu was delighted with the verdict and briefly told SportExpressen.se : “ This is great news.”
AIK Sporting Director, Björn Wesström, added to TT : “It is clear that it is good that he will be acquitted . Since there is reason to discuss the situation in view of the events that led to this, we’ll have a meeting.”
On the pitch, the Nigeria international assisted AIK finish in a Europa League spot in the just concluded season, suiting up 21 times for the team in the Allsvenskan.
