District Court In Sweden Dismisses Assault Charges Against Dickson Etuhu

The District Court in Sweden has dismissed charges of threat and assaulting a police officer leveled against Dickson Etuhu.<br /><br />The former Fulham star and another man were arrested on November 1, 2015 after allegedly being involved in an altercation with security guards and police officers outside a night club. <br /><br />The District Court in its ruling dismissed in its entirety the charges brought up against Dickson Etuhu and his friend, stating that&nbsp; he was not involved in any act of violence against the officials and was only being protective.<br /><br />Etuhu was delighted with the verdict and briefly told <i>SportExpressen.se</i> : &ldquo; This is great news.&rdquo;<br /><br />AIK Sporting Director, Bj&ouml;rn Wesstr&ouml;m, added to <i>TT</i> : &ldquo;It is clear that it is good that he will be acquitted . Since there is reason to discuss the situation in view of the events that led to this, we&rsquo;ll have a meeting.&rdquo;<br /><br />On the pitch, the Nigeria international assisted AIK finish in a Europa League spot in the just concluded season, suiting up 21 times for the team in the Allsvenskan.<br />
