Ahmed Musa Unhappy With 1,215 - Minute Goal Drought For Club And Country
Published: December 07, 2015
Ahmed Musa has admitted that he is unhappy with his goal drought for CSKA Moscow, having failed to find the back of the net for 11 games in a row in all competitions.
The attacker’s dry spell in front of goal will extend to 15 games if you include his appearances for the Super Eagles against Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and the World Cup qualifiers with Swaziland in November.
“I am no longer a scorer, it’s a pretty painful subject. I have nothing to say. Myself, it’s a shame that so many matches I can not score,” says Musa to CSKA Moscow’s official website, pfc - cska.com.
“But it’s not that I do not want to score or go all out on the field. I am doing everything possible, just that the ball does not go into the net. I will try to score against PSV.”
The Super Eagles skipper last hit target in a competitive fixture in CSKA Moscow’s 2 - 0 win over Dinamo Moscow on October 4.
Musa has spent a total of 1,215 minutes (20 hours, 15 minutes) on the pitch without scoring for club and country.
