Official : Philadelphia Union Retain Midfielder Maurice Edu

United States international Maurice Edu will remain on the books of Philadelphia Union in the 2016 season, the MLS club have announced through official channels.
The California - born midfielder was already tied to The U for next season and the club have confirmed that he is one of the 12 players on the roster that has been retained.
The 29 - year - old Edu had 22 starts to his name over the course of the 2015 campaign and got his only goal against Montreal Impact in June.
He joined Philadelphia Union from Stoke City in 2014 and also had spells with Bursaspor and Rangers before shifting to the Talen Energy Stadium.
