Published: December 18, 2015
Werder Bremen star Anthony Ujah has reacted to the draw of the DFB Pokal quarterfinals that will see his side tackling Bayer Leverkusen in February 2016.
The River Islanders qualified for the last eight of the competition for the first time in five years following their hard fought 4 - 3 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday, with the Nigeria international netting for the third game in a row in the Cup.
“It’ll be a very hard game but we’re in with a chance. We’ll go into it full of confidence, ” Ujah said to his club’s official website, werder.de.
“If we manage to play as well as we did in Gladbach, I’m convinced we’ll return to Bremen with a win. ”
Ujah has been named in Bremen’s 18 - man squad for the trip to Frankfurt, the last game of the year before the winter break.
