Anthony Ujah Disappointed With Loss To Eintracht Frankfurt
Published: December 20, 2015
Anthony Ujah was not pleased that Werder Bremen surrendered a one - goal lead before losing 2 - 1 to Eintracht Frankfurt at the Commerzbank-Arena in their last game before the winter break on Saturday afternoon.
The Super Eagles striker worked a ninety - minute shift in attack but failed to find the net just as he did nine months ago while wearing the jersey of Cologne when he struck in the 82nd minute.
Peruvian icon Claudio Pizarro opened scoring for the visitors in the 29th minute only for Meier to restore parity two minutes later.
“Unfortunately we weren’t able to defend the lead for longer, ” the Werder Bremen number 21 said to werder.de.
“It was difficult after they equalised so quickly and then we couldn’t get back into it after the goal early in the second half.”
Ujah, 25, may have lost his scoring boots against Eintracht Frankfurt but he is certain to finish the season with a minimum of ten goals in all competitions after scoring in Werder’s 4 - 3 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday, December 15.
