Odion Ighalo Delighted With Point Against Chelsea
Published: December 26, 2015
Watford star Odion Ighalo has reflected on the Hornets 2 - 2 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Nigeria international scored in the 56th minute to take his tally to 13 goals in the top - flight this season and it was the fifth straight game he found the back of the net.
The visitors failed to grab all three points after Diego Costa leveled matters eight minutes after Ighalo had given Watford a one - goal advantage.
“It was a difficult game but I am happy we got a point out of here because coming to Stamford Bridge and taking a point is very good, ” said Ighalo to Hornets PlayerHD.
“The team really worked hard from the start to the finish and there’s a lot of confidence building in the team, so we want to keep going.
“We could have gone away with the three points, but sometimes when you make mistakes you have to pay for it. We allowed Diego Costa to run behind the defence and score, but this is football and we want to keep going.”
Ighalo and his Watford teammates will host Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, December 28.
