Premier League Wrap : Ighalo Halfway To Breaking EPL Record; Anichebe Makes First Start; Barkley & Anya Go Distance; Alli Features

A review of players of Nigerian descent that were in action on game day 19 in the English Premier League is headlined by Odion Ighalo scoring for the sixth consecutive game in Watford’s 2- 1 loss to Spurs at Vicarage Road.

The Super Eagles frontman, who was yellow - carded in the 65th minute, was in action for 90 minutes and restored parity for the Hornets four minutes before half time.

If Ighalo manages to score in each of his next 6 games in the top - flight, he will break the record set by Jamie Vardy of Leicester City towards the end of last month.
