Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe has been praised by West Brom manager Tony Pulis following his brilliant performance against Newcastle United on Monday afternoon.<br /><br />In his first start of this season, Anichebe was a constant threat in attacking positions and would have opened his goalscoring account for the 2015 - 16 campaign&nbsp; in the 75th minute but headed into the ground and against the crossbar from a corner taken by Sessegnon.<br /><br />&ldquo;He&rsquo;s a top player. When Victor turns up he&rsquo;s a top player,&rdquo; Tony Pulis said to reporters.<br /><br />"He&rsquo;s shown that today, he was a handful for them and they just couldn&rsquo;t handle him.&rdquo;<br /><br />Anichebe will be assessed by the medics ahead of the Stoke City clash as he had to be substituted in the 88th minute against Newcastle due to injury.<br /><br />Photo Credit : wba.co.uk<br /><br /><br />
