Obi Mikel : Jose Mourinho Is A Fantastic Manager
Published: December 30, 2015
Super Eagles star Obi Mikel has commented on the dismissal of former coach of Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, and the appointment of Guus Hiddink as his replacement.
The Portuguese manager was sacked following a dismal run of results, with the defeat to Leicester City his last game in charge of the Stamford Bridge side.
“Jose is a fantastic manager and always will be, he’s a fantastic guy but sometimes football is a cruel game and we have to move on, ” Mikel told chelseafc.com
‘He (Hiddink) was here before and he knows the place. There are different players but it’s the same staff; it’s only me, JT and Ivanovic from when he was here last time, but he knows what to do so we just have to take it step by step. ”
Mikel has been involved in Hiddink’s first two matches since his return to the Londoners, lasting the distance against Manchester United on Monday.
