Austin Amutu Brace Fires Ironi Kiryat Shmona Into Cup Final
Published: December 30, 2015
Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona trainee Austin Amutu proved beyond doubt that he deserves to be offered a contract by the Israeli Premier League club on Wednesday night after notching a brace in their 3 - 0 thrashing of Bnei Yehuda in the semifinal of the Toto Cup.
The former Warri Wolves striker opened scoring in the 38th minute after a mistake by Bnei Yehuda’s Nigeria international Dele Aiyenugba.
Six minutes after scoring his first goal in Israel, Amutu netted his second of the night, finishing off a swift counter attack.
Ironi Kiryat Shmona suits had announced last week that the Nigerian will be offered a deal if he impresses in tonight’s clash against Bnei Yehuda.
