Exclusive : Finnish Side KuPS Beat Atalanta To Signing Of Azubuike Egwuekwe

With a statement published on its official webpage, Finnish side KuPS has announced the signing of Nigeria international Azubuike Egwuekwe from Warri Wolves.
The central defender will put pen to paper on a one - year deal with the Yellow - Blacks if he passes a medical examination in January, with the club retaining the option to extend the agreement by an additional season.
Kuopion Palloseuran has pulled off a transfer coup luring Egwuekwe to Veikkausliiga , having been linked with a possible move Serie A side Atalanta.
He was a member of the Super Eagles squad at the 2013 African Nations Cup, Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup.
Dickson Nwakaeme starred for KuPS , then switched to Asia, while Francis Chibuike played for the club before he was loaned out to Mikkelin Palloilijat in August 2015.
