Dominic Iorfa Assists Carl Ikeme Post Third Shutout In A Row For Wolves
Published: January 01, 2016
Super Eagles netminder Carl Ikeme posted another shutout for Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday evening in their hard-fought 1 - 0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the The American Express Community Stadium.
The Anglo - Nigerian goalie was solid throughout the contest and produced a world class save to deny Lewis Dunk in the fifth minute of second half injury time after earlier stopping Stephens and Wilson.
Ikeme has not conceded a goal in the last 270 minutes of action, ignoring time added for injury time, having kept a clean sheet in games against Reading ( December 26 ) and Charlton Athletic ( December 28).
England youth international Dominic Iorfa played the full game for Wolves and was cautioned five minutes out of intermission.
Thanks to the win against Brighton, Wolves have pulled to within six points of the last playoff spot occupied by Ipswich Town, though they have played a game more than their rivals.
