Sunshine Queens Resume January 24

The Management of Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) side, Sunshine Queens Football Club of Ondo State has announced January 24, 2016, as the club’s resumption date for preparation ahead of the new football season.
Team Manager, Sunday Erelesusi disclosed that 19 players from the old team were retained including Opeyemi Sunday a product of the feeders team, Rising Queens while several new quality players will be injected to fortify the team.
“The players have been on Christmas and New Year break, but we’ve asked them to return for preparation towards the new season on Sunday January 24.
“All the 19 retained players and invited players are to resume in team’s camp as training starts on Monday January 25”.
According to the team spokesperson, Biyi Akinnodi, thanked the seven players dropped for their services and commitment towards achieving the target last season, wishing them best of luck in their career.
The Secretariat of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has fixed February 20 as the commencement date for the 2015/2016 Premier League.
