Alhaji Gero Pleased To Score On Ostersunds FK Debut
Published: January 23, 2016New östersunds FK acquisition Alhaji Gero was delighted to score on his debut for the newly-promoted Allsvenskan side in their 3-2 victory against Levanger FK in a pre-season friendly played in Norway on Saturday afternoon.
The Swedish team had been trailing 2-1 before the former Flying Eagles striker was introduced immediately after the interval and he responded with a debut goal seven minutes later.
“My first game, first friendly of the season and my first goal. I feel good scoring, looking forward to the start of the season, ” a happy Gero said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
When quizzed if he could win the top scorer award at the end of the 2016 campaign, the östersunds FK number 18 chose to go philosophical.
“In life you don’t know what is going to happen. I will work hard and give all my best but I played the league before so now I’m back , ” Gero explained.
Alhaji Gero and his teammates will head to Spain next week for a training camp ahead of he start of the Premier League on April 2,2016.
