Dele Alli Reflects On Wonder-Goal Against Crystal Palace
Published: January 24, 2016
Dele Alli has reflected on his wonder-goal against Crystal Palace in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
On 84 minutes, the England internationalist put Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 up; volleying in from the edge of the box after flicking the ball past Jedinak.
“It was a bit of a natural thing. I didn’t really think about it too much and I sort of shocked myself – I think you could tell from my celebration, I didn’t really know what to do,” said Dele Alli, according to tottenhamhotspur.com.
“You can work on different kinds of finishing with volleys and stuff in training, but you can’t really replicate a game situation.
“It’s just the emotions you’re feeling – I like to express myself and I showed that today.”
Alli has amassed 30 appearances and scored 6 goals (4 assists) in all competitions so far this season.
