Exclusive: Russia-Bound Aaron Samuel NOT Joining AEK Athens
Published: January 29, 2016
Aaron Samuel’s intermediary Atta Aneke has played down reports linking the Guangzhou R&F frontman with a shift to AEK Athens in the January transfer window.
The Norwegian-based agent has stressed that there has not been any contact whatsoever with the leadership of the Greek Super League outfit and let the cat out of the bag by revealing that the Nigeria international might be joining a Russian club in the winter transfer market.
“Aaron Samuel is not going to AEK Athens, I learnt about the interest for the first time yesterday after it was published, ” says Atta Aneke to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“There is a strong possibility that he might leave Guangzhou R&F. There are three clubs that want him in Russia, we are still negotiating”
Though Atta Aneke has kept the identities of the three teams from Russia a secret, this website understands that CSKA Moscow are in the race to sign Samuel.
