Victor Moses Relishing The Prospect of Facing Liverpool In FA Cup
Published: January 30, 2016Chelsea loanee Victor Moses is relishing the prospect of facing his old teammates at Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
In his bid to get more playing opportunities prior to the 2014 World Cup, the winger was on loan at Anfield from The Blues during the 2013-2014 season, making 22 appearances across all competitions for The Reds including 2 in the FA Cup.
“It will be nice for me to go back to Liverpool and it will be my first time back at Anfield since my loan spell there,” Moses said to the Hammers official webpage.
“I have still got a lot of good friends up there like Coutinho, Sakho, Sturridge but I will have to put that friendship to one side when we face them.
“After the game we can shake hands, but the football comes first and we will be looking to reach the next round.”
Moses missed West Ham’s trip to Merseyside on August 29,2015 because his transfer was not yet completed while he was nursing a hamstring injury when both teams faced off earlier this month.
