Published: February 03, 2016
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has played down reports linking her with a transfer to Women’s Super League club Arsenal, ahead of the new season.
Liverpool beat the gun by announcing that the former Rivers Angels poster girl was on her way to the Londoners as they had accepted an undisclosed bid but the transfer is far from being completed, according to Oshoala.
“I don’t really want to go into details, I still have a contract running with Liverpool, ”Asisat Oshoala told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I am still discussing with Arsenal, everything is unofficial for now.”
Arsenal Ladies have started pre-season training in Spain without one of their main transfer targets, Oshoala, who is back home in Nigeria enjoying her holidays.
The Women’s Super League will begin in March, with the Gunners facing Reading in their opener on the 23rd.
