Official : Oke Akpoveta Joins IK Frej On Loan From Lyngby
Published: February 03, 2016
Danish First Division club Lyngby have announced that Oke Akpoveta has been farmed out on loan to Swedish Superettan side IK Frej for the remainder of this season.
The former Warri Wolves star started his career with Lyngby with a bang, bagging 4 goals in his first 6 games in all competitions, then, lost his place in the first team.
“The evaluation of the fall, neither we nor Oke quite happy with the outcome. Oke lacks solid playing time and he needs that in this part of his career,”head coach David Nielsen told Lyngby’s official website.
“Therefore, we agreed to give Oke a chance to look for continuous playing time elsewhere, and IK Frej an excellent option. ”
Akpoveta’s contract with Lyngby will run out in the summer, therefore, he will not be making a return to the club.
