Anthony Ujah Rues Loss Against Borussia Monchengladbach
Published: February 06, 2016
Anthony Ujah has lamented about Werder Bremen`s 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Borussia Monchengladbach at Borussia-Park in the Bundesliga on Friday night.
The Nigeria international is confident that The River Islanders will forget about their humiliation and pick up the pieces in subsequent games, starting from Tuesday`s Cup clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
“We made a lot of mistakes and lost the ball too often. We were punished for that. I know that we can do better,” Ujah told his club`s official webpage.
“Our team has character and we will look ahead and we will try to right the ship.”
Ujah, who made his 20th appearance of the season in the league, lasted 57 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced by Fin Bartels.
The 25-year-old has bagged 11 goals across all competitions so far this season.
