Izunna Uzochukwu Expects To Flourish At OB Odense
Published: February 06, 2016
Izunna Uzochukwu has criticized the playing style of his former team Amkar Perm and praised that of OB Odense.
The Nigeria international severed all ties with the Russian Premier League club in the January transfer window, six months after joining them from FC Midtjylland, where he flourished and was rated one of the best defensive midfielders in the Superliga.
“In OB we want to pass more than we wanted in my team in Russia. We would like to build the game up from below , while in Russia was more counter-attack and quickly moved the ball forward in the field,” Uzochukwu said to ob.dk.
“This is more about football and it suits me much better.
“I would like to have the ball as much as possible and I like the fact that we will have the ball much, for this is my best way to help the team and make my teammates better.”
