Official: Ex-NPL Hotshot Sibi Gwar Joins Onyekachi Okonkwo At Mosta
Published: February 06, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Maltese Premier League side Mosta have completed the signing of former highest goalscorer in the Nigerian Premier League, Sibi Gwar, until the end of the 2015-2016 campaign.
The deal that took him to the Island Nation was brokered by Italian-based intermediary Ben Itorho, who has stated that the idea is to get him to remain with Mosta until this summer before moving to another European team.
“Sibi Gwar has signed for Mosta, I brought him here, same team that Onyekachi Okonkwo plays for,” says Ben Itorho to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The plan is to get him to play till June then market him in Turkey, Romania and Egypt where we already have interest for him.”
The one-cap Nigeria national-teamer had an excellent pedigree in the NPFL, starring for Enyimba, Lobi Stars, Shooting Stars, Niger Tornadoes and Kwara United among others.
For the remainder of this season, Sibi Gwar will suit up with the number 82 jersey.
