Watford Goalie Hails Spurs Influential Midfielder Dele Alli
Published: February 07, 2016
Watford glovesman Heurelho Gomes has admitted that the Anglo-Nigerian Dele Alli was decisive when he came on in the second half in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Shortly after his introduction in the 61st minute, the England international made a delightful cross which was tapped home by Kieran Trippier for the only goal of the game.
“He made the difference when he came on. He passed the ball for them to score the goal, and it was very tough for us,” said Gomes to the Hornets official website.
“Credit to the boys, they gave everything during the game and I believe that is the way to keep going.”
